I was thrilled to host the “Meet the US Ambassador” event at UC Berkeley. Former US Ambassador to the UN Edward Perkins spent two hours discussing his experience working in the UN and detailed his thoughts on current events. Sitting on the speaking panel with him, I enjoyed discussing the relevance and impact of the UN today. Thank you, Ambassador Perkins, for your visit to UC Berkeley!

We were selected as 1 of 12 finalists for the Center for Information Technology Research in the Interest of Society (CITRIS) Big Ideas competition. The 12 finalists ranged from professors to graduate students from all over California. Each team’s idea was incredibly well organized and innovative. Although our team’s physical presentation poster was by far the most unattractive, we hoped that our proposal would impress the judges. When they were announcing the winners, we were very surprised to place 2nd since we were one of the only undergraduate teams! Thank you, CITRIS!
Congratulations to the winning team, Crop to Cup!
